Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine services at Universitas Indonesia Hospital, Depok, Indonesia, are making their way to be nationally and internationally recognized for providing outstanding respiratory care for patients. Our medical team consists of trained experts in the field, and faculty members of the Department of Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia, Jakarta, Indonesia.

We offer inpatient and outpatient services to diagnose and treat a wide range of respiratory diseases and disorders: tuberculosis (TB), pneumonia including COVID-19, pulmonary mycoses, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), lung cancer, interstitial lung disease (ILD) including post-COVID syndromes, pulmonary hypertension, sleep disorders, obstructive sleep apnea, inhalation trauma, and foreign body aspiration. These services include the emergency ward, intensive care unit (ICU), center for pulmonary function examinations, and diagnostic bronchoscopy unit.

Type of Services

  1. Chronic Cough: focusing on diagnosing and treating prolonged cough due to disorders of the upper respiratory tract, lower respiratory tract, digestive tract, asthma, allergic respiratory diseases, bronchitis, and abnormalities in radiological readings
  2. Chronic Respiratory Disease and Smoking Cessation: focusing on diagnosing and treating chronic lung diseases such as asthma, COPD, ILD, occupational lung disease, smoking cessation, and the need for long-term oxygen therapy
  3. Interventional Pulmonology: focusing on identifying, diagnosing, and treating problems related to upper and lower respiratory tract disorders through visual bronchoscopy or extrathoracic procedures
  4. Respiratory Infectious Disease: focusing on preventing, diagnosing, and treating respiratory infectious lung diseases other than TB such as pneumonia, pulmonary mycoses, and so on
  5. DOTS for Drug-sensitive and Drug-resistant TB: focusing on comprehensive management of pulmonary and extra-pulmonary tuberculosis
  6. Sleep Breathing Disorders: focusing on preventing, diagnosing, and treating sleep-related breathing disorders and obstructive sleep apnea
  7. Respiratory Oncology: focusing on comprehensive management of thoracic malignancy such as lung cancer and mediastinal tumors
